Korea University of Technology and Education ‘NARAEDOME’ by HAEAHN Architecture

Korea University of Technology and Education ‘NARAEDOME’ is built under the supervision of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs and implemented by the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA), for localization and upgrading architectural construction technology of large space, which is the result of research on architectural construction technology development.

In this building, two keel trusses constitute the overall structure system, while the grid-type cable structure and the PTFE membrane structure around the overall structure forms an oval-shaped building. The contrast between the soft image of PTFE with a white color background and the tough, keen keel truss represents in overall a ‘powerful image.’
