In today’s fast-paced world, where individuals spend 8-10 hours at work, workspace design becomes a powerful force in shaping creativity. A well-designed workspace does more than house employees—it elevates mood, fuels motivation, and drives productivity, turning the office into a dynamic hub of inspiration. While traditional office designs can stifle creativity, the VRS office by Paras Group in New Delhi offers a refreshing take on office interiors. Its distinctive blend of luxury and formality nurtures employee well-being and sparks innovation, creating an environment where creativity thrives.

Part of the Paras Group’s portfolio, this office serves VRS Foods Limited. Spanning 7337.7 sq. ft. on the third floor of Eldeco Centre, the office accommodates six director’s cabins, employee workstations, and essential common areas such as meeting rooms, a cafeteria, HOD cabins, and a reception. The design is anchored in luxury and draws inspiration from classical elements, seamlessly balancing them with contemporary modern touches to craft a sophisticated yet functional workspace.

The floor plan is divided into two sections linked by the reception and cafeteria. To the left of the entrance, the six director’s spaces are thoughtfully arranged, featuring expansive cabins, a lounge, meeting areas, and conference rooms, all aligned along a linear lobby that seamlessly connects to the service shaft. On the right, an open-plan layout accommodates the workstations, positioned along the north-facing edge to maximise natural light. A central aisle divides the space, with HOD cabins and senior workstations at the far end.

These areas maintain privacy through low-height partitions that frame the spaces while remaining visually connected to the workspace. The entrance features a reception desk and a waiting area, cleverly separated by a partition that conceals the adjacent cafeteria—a dedicated space for employees to relax, socialise, and recharge.

The design deviates from using sharp angles at wall junctions, and features intentionally curved edges throughout the space to move away from the rigid, rectangular layout of conventional offices. These curves introduce an artistic flair while guiding a seamless visual flow. Inspired by classical elements, this design features coffered ceilings, black-and-white marble inlaid flooring, and wall mouldings with elegant fluting. These sophisticated details extend to the furniture, doors, and windows. The gentle curves of the corners strikingly contrast the classical features, while a wooden strip running just below the ceiling unifies and ties the space together. The neutral, monochromatic palette of whites and browns creates a calm, grounded atmosphere, ideal for focused work while adding an element of formality to the space.

The material palette features oakwood and oakwood veneers stained in dark tones to complement the fluted glass used in partitions for meeting rooms and director cabins, ensuring privacy without overwhelming the aesthetic. All materials are sourced from the surrounding area, staying true to groupDCA’s commitment to honoring the local context. The subtle aesthetic of neutral tones complements the vibrant, bespoke furniture designed for this project at the DCA workshop. From the luxurious chairs and tables in the directors’ cabins to the multifunctional partitions in the workstations—incorporating both storage and plants—each piece adds character, colour, and life to the space.

The ergonomic furniture design and proportions blend classical inspiration with contemporary style, finishing the space with a modern flair. Additionally, carefully chosen artwork and lighting elements further elevate the aesthetic appeal.
The VRS office design masterfully blends tradition and innovation, creating a luxurious space that meets modern office needs. The design enhances well-being and functionality by integrating biophillic elements, optimising natural light, and fostering collaboration through open layouts.

The fusion of classical and contemporary elements imparts a unique character, making the VRS office a standout example of a thoughtful, user-centric design that reflects the company’s identity and sets a benchmark for modern office spaces in the evolving design conversation.
